QUESTIONS WE GET A LOT
How do I get started?
Go to the Participant Screening or Helper Dog Screening and submit the completed form. Once we receive it, we will contact you with the date of an upcoming orientation. (Our orientations take place once a month so worries if you can't make one.)
What is the cost for this program?
The total cost is $200 per dog. Orientation is $50 and is applied to your total cost if you opt to move forward with an assessment. Our assessment process includes up to three dates where your dog will be given the ooprtunity to engage with other dogs in the effort to make a match. We will also educate about body language indicators, play style, correction style, and overall social ability.
I am not sure if my dog is a helper or participant. What should I do?
We can help you figure that out. Take a look at the questions contained in each screening form and see how they may apply to your dog. If you recognize your dog's behaviors in the Particpant Screening Form, you may need a little help. If your dog's social history in more in line with the questions on the Helper Dog form, your dog may qualify. Select the appropriate form and sumbit the completed screening. If you need additional guidance, email Jill and she can help with some additional information or send your questions along to Katenna or Erika for additional review.
